Information for Outings Participants

Is it right for
you? Find out by reading the outing announcement.

Sign up by contacting
the trip leader by phone or email. You’ll learn about requirements for the trip
like fitness level, equipment, and get directions to the meeting place.

Read the standard
waiver you’ll be asked to sign at the beginning of the outing. It can be found
on the web at

Bring the Ten
Essentials on any outing

use.
During the Outing
Talk to the leader
during the trip if you experience any difficulty or have questions about the
route or schedule. Always stay with the
group and notify the leader or co-leader if you cannot keep up.
CARPOOLING POLICY
In the
interests of facilitating the logistics of some outings, it is customary that
participants make carpooling arrangements. The Sierra Club does not have
insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them.
Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement
among the participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this
