This THURSDAY, September 15th, make a call to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge!
Noon rally in Portland’s Monument Square also planned for Maine Arctic Refuge Action Day
We need YOUR help to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from oil drilling
BACKGROUND: Congress is expected to vote this month on a budget bill that would open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. Big Oil and its Congressional allies -- in spite of overwhelming public support for protecting this national treasure -- have buried the Arctic drilling measure deep in the budget. ACTION 1: Call your senators. Contact Senators Olympia Snowe (800-432-1599) and Susan Collins (202-224-2523) and urge them to vote against a final budget that allows drilling for oil in the Arctic Refuge. Call Today!
