Join us in thanking Maine's entire congressional delegation, and especially

Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins for their strong commitment to

protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and their continued

leadership in the effort to keep Arctic drilling revenues out of the Federal

Budget Resolution.

A majority of Americans agree the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is too

special to drill, but the oil industry and its friends in Congress are

pushing to sneak drilling provisions into the Congressional budget in an

effort to limit public debate. Instead, America needs a smarter energy

policy that creates jobs and protects our environment. By making our cars

go faster on a gallon of gas and investing in clean, renewable energy

sources, America can save more oil than we can ever get from the Refuge.
